Before and my new improved.. :)

Before...

This is very much like my new improved one i only noticed once I looked at the difference. I like the mountain better on this one but i didn't want to change it on my new looking one because it would look more similar. 

 

New improved by me...

I know this looks very similar to the old one but I didn't know at the time and my mountain is now  a volcano. I did the waves different colors because I really liked the light pink it may look a bit funny. 

Before...

When I saw this one out of my options i really wanted to do it because I didn't like it originally. I feel like it is too green and too mush of the same color.

New improved by me...

This one my new one is very different from the other one and i loved this one green but its not everywhere. I feel like this one has a lot more different colors compared to the other one.I like how i did the flowers different colors. Tell me what you think.

Fake or Real? :)

  Today in Manaiakalani we were learning the difference between real and fake. I think that social media is a great way to scam people but not in a good way. Millions of people probably have been scammed, think about how much money has been made over fake things. I think this should stop. Once my grandparents were nearly scammed but luckily my Nan knew as soon as my Granddad told her that they need to pay for this thing she already paid for. Is this picture fake or real?..
 

What I think media is...

 

I think that a lot of kids these days think media is just social media because there is a lot of it and most kids use it. Media isn't a word that comes up a lot for me. This task was a little easy to make because I got a lot of information from Mr. fourie. I used postermywall to make the background and screenshotted the picture. Some time ago, LH3 hub has been coding our games to help kids learn Maori words. Scratch was a great help to code our games, but it was difficult to find the right codes in the bar chart. Finding the monkey character was very easy, because there was a gallery full of them. In my game I realized that it was quite easy questions so next time I will be working on that. This game was inspired by 'Tipu in schools'.

When I was putting the pictures together, I found it very difficult to find the right ones.These pictures were from unsplash but this site was formed to make it not copyright because all the pictures are from people who wants people to see them :)

Pixel characters

 I made a koala and bumble bee ,because the idea we have for a coding game involves different characters.
We were learning about coding games.

I found it easy to do the background.

I found it hard to choose the colours

I really enjoyed seeing the finished product.

Next time I need to do different animals.

After being told that we would be coding our own games, we made pixel characters that we could use, but sadly I didn't use them :( These characters are inspired by pinterest and me and my friend Felicia were going to make a game together but we were not allowed to :(

Lockdown Essay

Lockdown

There are only few reasons that are good about quarantine.Not all reasons are though.One of bad reasons is why we are here stuck in our houses. We are stuck,because of a deadly virus called the corona virus.It has killed a lot of human, and has spread fast throughout some places. Scientist have been working on a cure luckily.

Being in lockdown means no school ,and it will be performed on a device.It means when we are at home,and not be going to a different building and learning there.I think home schooling is great for some people, but for me i like going to school, and that is where teachers can help you.Also it gives me a chance to be social,and interact with people.

Another bad thing about online school now is distractions.For me having siblings doing there own thing is quite hard to focus.I hear the television or them talking to each other.In school though the classroom is quiet, and you get to focus on your own thing you are doing. Like if it is some reading I always like the room to be still and quiet which it is at school.

I hate not getting to see my friends while a long break, But at least in this situation we get to see them on a device.Having friends at school is like a bonus.While learning I like to have my friends to help me a bit so I am not always going to the teacher.Instead of playing or hanging out with them in the weekends its nice to just do it at school.

Now for one of the good reasons to be home.At school you have to ask to use the bathroom or wait to eat your food.On the other hand at home you can go get your food or use the bathroom when you feel like it.It is also another chance to see your family more.
